st_respect is the Archive of Our Own (AO3) parent collection for the Ship Wars and Olympics, with a subcollection for each year. The main collection is closed to submissions; add your fic to the relevant year. You may read all of the works posted to all the collections from the parent collection, or you can read each individual year by going to the individual collection.
I'm keeping the rest of this information current over here at LJ.
Calling Trek Fans, the readers, the artists, the vidders, the writers and anyone that’s ever chortled at a redshirt joke when the rest of the room completely missed that reference. We want you if you write crack or slash or het or femmeslash. We want your tentacle-porn art and your tear-jerking TOS fan mixes. We want your vids and we want your catalogue of delicious recs that would make a librarian weep for joy. We want your enthusiasm for, we want your love of, and we want your devotion to Star Trek.
Yeah you, the skeptic in the back—we want you too, we want the lurker to your left and the giddy fan to the right. We want your friends and their friends and anyone that’s ever wanted to try it out just once. We want whoever wants to come play because we’re having a party and it’s going to be loud and bright and just overflowing with ripped shirts and lens-flares.
You know you want to, we want you to and since everyone wants to—click the banner.

Hey bbs! cards_slash is talking about maybe having another Star Trek Ship War! It's still in the planning stages, and there are a couple of polls up over at st_respect for you to decide how ships get chosen, length of time for the War, ect...
I'm thinking of nominating the Kirk/Spock/Uhura ship, since I'm still aghast that it wasn't represented the first time around. I'm a little anxious about possibly being a captain and time is a factor, of course, but WTH. It was fun last time.
Can I just say how awesome Ship Wars was? Tons of amazing fic, great ships, wonderful people, very little wank. I think this was an epic occurance, that fandom will be talking about for a long time to come. I keep wanting to do a rec post, but OMG, the fleeties and final awards post and now the team Ashayam afterpost are eating my time! And I should so be in bed. Later.
I got awards at Team Jones! It just tickles me to get an award for supporting the team!
And so much love for Team Jones!
( The Team Jones Awards - Cut because the Awesome was taking up lots of space )
The schedule is as follows:
Party Post (also open to public): May 3rd - May 7th
Voting: May 4th - May 7th
Prompt 6 Awards Ceremony: May 10th
Grand Ceremony Overall: May 12th
May 13th = Ship Wars is DONE
I know that the team_jones comm plans to stay open after the War is over. I think they will continue to post pics and fic prompts, and just generally be a cool place to hang out for Jones fans.
I was hoping to get something written for Ship Wars this round, but no luck. I had some little ideas for the theme, but I didn't have much time to really get anything written. Work is still kind of rough, blah blah. Doom is coming in the mail tomorrow!
This was originally written for a jim_and_bones away mission prompt. I'm really enjoying Ship Wars. I've even managed to read all the fics for this round and vote, and look through the Battle Post a bit. And wow, the Battlle Posts rock! I was laughing and smiling, and I just enjoyed the hell out of the whole thing. Especially sending telegrams with lunasky3 ! I commented on a few entries, but felt a bit too shy to post anything new yet. Maybe next time, now that I've got my feet wet. On to the fic:
Title: The Trouble With Cultural Aphrodisiacs
Pairings: Kirk/McCoy, Kirk/McCoy/Uhura/Spock
Rating: PG-13 for language and non-graphic mentions of sex
Word Count: 900
Prompt: Written for a prompt poll at jim_and_bones.
Notes: CRACK! Also, cleaned up a bit. Crossposted to kirk_mccoy, and the Archive of our Own. eBook downloads of this fic available here.
( The problem with accepting something to drink or eat on any planet they visited is you never knew what you were going to get )
