Vid Recs: AU and Constructed Reality

This morning I saw in a Retweet that @cee_m was requesting recs for fave AU or Constructed Reality vids, and I felt like obliging. It's been a while since I did a vid rec post. It got too big for a tweet though, so here's a post with recs. :) I'm going by the definition here at Fanlore: A constructed reality vid recontextualizes footage from the source (and sometimes footage from outside sources) in order to tell a story that did not happen in canon. ^[1] I really wanted to include some Trek vids that combine AOS/TOS footage, but felt in the end that didn't count as outside footage, or excessive manipulation of the source. However, I did include shipper vids that use manips and outside footage to sell the ship, since I feel that counts. So, my recs:

Battlestar: Galactica/Farscape

Very hot, and also an extremely interesting pairing that I think would really work.

House/Sherlock BBC
Cat's in the Cradle by daasgrrl
Creates an entirely realistic Father & Son relationship between House and Sherlock.

Inception
Under the Sheets by gaby0189x Arthur/Eames
HOT! An excellent story of their relationship.

Teardrops by gaby0189x Dom/Mal, Arthur/Eames
The story of how the four came together, and the aftermath of the movie. Beautiful, touching, heartbreaking.

Merlin
There Are Legends by ras_elased Merlin/Arthur
Phenomenal tale of love through the ages.

Smallville
I Swear by dualbunny, greensilver, and sweetestdrain, Clark/Lex
OMG if you haven't seen this you need to. It is CRACK, crack to be watched in a space safe for loud noises.

Supernatural
Family Business by newkidfan, Dean/Castiel
An amazing AU in which Castiel is an assassin and Sam and Dean are the FBI agents hunting him down.

I Want You by Maichan2, Sam/Dean
I love the way Maichan manipulates the footage to make it look like the boys are having an actual conversation about their relationship, with Sam asking and Dean saying no, until he gives in. Maichan actually makes a super-hot 'make the boys do it' type vid into a realistic study of their relationship and how Dean would respond to Sam's requests. I very nearly put all of Maichan's Sam/Dean vids in this list, but I decided to pick just one since they are all pretty similar. It was hard to pick.

Torchwood
Papa Don't Preach by fan-eunice and greensilver, Jack/Ianto
Jack's made up his mind, he's keeping his baby. This is the most adorable and squeeful thing ever.

X-Men: First Class
Never Tear Us Apart by Maichan2, Eric/Charles
Gorgeous, gorgeous use of many different sources to create a relationship through the centuries. Maichan says "Basically, this vid is an excuse for boys in cravats, suits, and uniforms."
