Dreamwidth crossposting test

I think I'm going to import my LJ to my DW.  I've been thinking a lot about backing things up - had a computer virus recently, LJ keeps going down with hacker attacks, it's still not clear if my Delicious account could be TOSed for porny content.  Losing things sucks.  I might start crossposting from DW.  I don't know how much I'll actually 'move' to DW in terms of how much time I spend there, we'll see about that...

But speaking of backing up, does anyone use any journal 'back up' software that allows you to download a copy of your journal to keep on a harddrive?  I know I've heard of it, but can't seem to remember any info about it.

I use LJ book on occasion: http://ljbook.com/ and should probably use it again, here. It can be a little slow when everyone's using it, but it works pretty well and gives you a .pdf backup of your entire journal (or your journal from Date to Date, IIRC)

That's what I was thinking of! Thanks! It tells me that too many people are using it at this time so I can't make a copy, but I look forward to trying it out.
