yeomanrand  has set up a new community called fandom_women with a focus on female characters from all fandoms.  Info:

Ever wished your fandom had a place where you could go to celebrate the lives and fictional adventures of your favorite woman? This should be the community for you: we focus on fanwork dedicated to and focused on women. We want personalities not defined by their husbands and sons, lives lived only offscreen, and/or more than even their creators were willing to give them.

Big fandoms or small, we love them all.

Genfic, femslash, and het that centering on canonically female-identified characters are welcome. This includes readings of these characters as genderqueer, transgender, or any other non-binary gender identity. Shipfic, especially for lesser-written-about characters, is lovely as long as it offers some kind of character-based insight/development. Please take a moment to consider the comm's purpose when you make your decision to post. This community exists to broadcast voices not usually heard, not just serve as another stop on your crosspost list.
