Last Tuesday, in a move of epic fail, I completely forgot that White Collar was supposed to start airing the new season, despite the fact that I've been looking forward to this new season for the last six months!   I don't even know.  So Wednesday night I remembered "OMG, White Collar is back on!" while I was surfing the tv.  "Great!  The DVR should have recorded it!"  Except that it hadn't recorded it.  The show time got changed for some stupid reason (who decided it was appropriate to run The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull into my WC timeslot?!) so the DVR recorded the last hour of TKofCS.  Which I've already seen.  And which wasn't White Collar.  I was quite irritated Tuesday night, let me tell you.  If you're going to make fantastic technology like the DVR, at least make it smart enough to track channel/time changes.  Damn.  Anyway, it didn't air again until Friday morning at midnight so I obviously couldn't watch it until Friday evening - so I was (im)patiently waiting for days (on top of months) to find outwhat happened to Mozzie.

MOZZIE!!  I'm so glad he's ok!  I was pretty sure they wouldn't kill him off and that they were just using his shooting as a major cliffhanger to get us to come back, but I don't care.  I saw the strings and I still danced.  I couldn't help worrying about him.  I'm happy he's ok.  Although... he did seem to get better extremely quickly, didn't he?  It was almost anticlimactic, after waiting six months to find out if he dies.  But I guess White Collar isn't really the fandom for hard-hitting angst.  The angst is there, but it's light enough that the fun and happy sets the tone, and changing the tone of the show probably wouldn't be a good idea.

Also, I squeed so hard when Neal goes to Peter and Elle and they have a little meeting and Peter is all "You aren't listening to me - wait, you are listening to me?"  It's all going to work itself out into major threesome love, I just know it.

It is so good to have WC back on, full of slick camera moves and editing (I really loved the intro - it was bold and quick and got me really excited about the upcoming show) and Neal's gorgeous silhouette in a dress shirt and vest and Peter and Elle being adorable and that indefinable something that makes the show seem so visually sophisticated to me.
