White Collar
Aug. 12th, 2011 04:26 pmThe Unresolved Trust Issues almost killed me this season. Seriously. I had to stop myself from verbalizing my angst over Neal planning to leave week after week because my husband started giving me the 'you do know they aren't real people' looks too often. But for real, HOW COULD HE HAVE BEEN PLANNING TO LEAVE!?!?! So I am completely ECSTATIC that he chose to stay with Peter, and all squeeful that he actually said he was choosing Peter! I really love how he realized that his life was with Peter and Elle (because my shipper brain automatically puts her in there) and he really can't just walk away. My OT3 heart is overflowing right now.
But I'm once again going MOZZZZIIIIEEEEE! WTH, that's not how I pictured things ending up between them. It can't stay like that, though. I'm pretty sure they'll get it worked out, because Neal can't be without his friend. And I can't be without Mozzie. Even though Mozzie is sort of the reason he's in all this trouble over treasure in the first place.
As for Sarah... I actually liked Sarah and Neal together. I thought they were good for each other, she's much better for him than Kate. Sarah balanced him, and kept him interested enough to make leaving a difficult choice. I like that she stuck to her guns about Neal not trusting her with his secret, even though she maybe-sort-of came around at the end? I hope they are able to reconcile by the end of next season. The thing is, I'm able to enjoy the Sarah/Neal cannon relationship while still being a die-hard OT3er. As long as they keep Neal and Elle chatting and Neal being all up in their lives I can handle a cannon relationship for Neal. The OT3 still wins out for me, but I do enjoy Neal having a cannon relationship. Plus, they are hot together :)
So Neal has dug himself into a huge hole. It's like 'two steps forward, ten steps back' with this guy. *facepalm* I'm not sure how he's going to get out of this one. And THE BAD GUY HAS ELLE!!! My husband was all "they have Peter's wife, IT'S ON NOW!" about it, and I agree. Damn stupid short seasons, I now have to wait 6 months to see how it ends. *sigh*
