Netflix!

I've got Netflix, BBs!!  I CAN HAS CHRIS AND KARL MOVIE RECS, NAO?  Lol, I plan to watch them all eventually, but what are the critical, must-watch-now movies, the ones I should start with?  Or is it best to watch them in chronological order?

We ran across Carriers while browsing last night and I added it to the list.  But it's listed as horror, and I don't do so well with horror.  I scare easily.  How scary is it?  Should I worry, or is it properly listed as a horror movie?  I'm thinking that may not be the best Chris movie to start with.

DOOM. MUST WATCH DOOM. It's just so very KARL in its geekiness and surprisingly 2-dimensional characterizations.

I haven't had the courage to watch Carriers yet, ngl. So I can't help you with that one but I hear it's not all that bad--at least it's no 28 Days Later or whatever that one that freaked everyone the hell out was.

And Just My Luck is my fave Chris rom-com, hands down. I love Anne Hathaway and Chris is very pretty in Princess Diaries 2, but Chris's character etc are eh, whereas in JML he is DORKY and AWESOME. Blind Dating he's great, too, but... To perpetuate stereotypes, Blind Dating is very juvenile boy (poop jokes), whereas JML & PD2 are juvenile girl (fairytales).

UM I COULD GO ON but I won't. XB That's just off the top of my head. ;)

Damn, I was hoping you would be able to give me some insight. Well, I didn't watch 28 Days Later, so I wouldn't really know. But maybe I'll chance it.

I have seen PD2, but I'll be rewatching. After JML. Thanks for the rec for that, I'm excited about them all! And do go on! I NEED TO KNOW WHAT I'VE BEEN MISSING!

carriers is this scary:



...its not really scary? like i have no problem with horror so i might not be the best judge but its post-apocalyptic wannabe-psychological-drama type horror. the worst thing that happens is you (could) get startled and there are dead people.

for Pine, i love Bottle Shock (altho he has awful hair in it) because its purty. i recently watched Smoking Aces which i loved but its stupidly gory and he's only in it for like 15 minutes. his romcoms are romantic-comedy but i love Blind Dating. (Just My Luck is like Pine silently praying Lohan doesn't castrate him. man never even really looks at her.)

idk about Karl. i've seen him in lots of stuff without realizing it was him...(weird that).

I remember you talking about Bottle Shock a while back, so that's going on the list. I saw Smokin Aces and am ashamed to say I don't remember him in it. It was stupidly gory, but I may rewatch anyway. The weird thing is that I handle gore way better than horror. If there isn't too much supernatural spirit type stuff I do ok.

I saw Riddick a while back and somehow didn't realize it was Karl till after. :facepalm: and he's so covered in long hair and armor in LotR it's hard to tell it's him, even if you are looking for him. I'm looking forward to Doom - he'll be hard to miss in it, I think. ;)

really if you've seen the trailer and weren't scared you're totes fine. there's nothing supernatural going on in that movie.

BOTTLE SHOCK IS TEH PRETTEH. Pine is one of the Tremor Brothers. i recognized him by the pregnant-chick walk (and the ass) in that first scene where Ben Affleck is talking about the Tremors shooting up the restaurant. the image of him chewing up that cheetos in the elevator is PERMANENTLY SEARED INTO MY BRAIN.

yeah, i own a lot of Karl movies i never even realized. *facepalm*

Well, the trailer looks a bit iffy to me, but I'm gonna do it.

What is with his hair in Bottle Shock? I want to like him with long hair, but I don't think that wig is cutting it. Anyway, he still looks cute, and it looks like a fun movie. OMFG, THE ELEVATOR IN SMOKIN ACES! I don't even know what to say about that, JFC. That's our Kirk?! BWAHAHAHAHA! Also, nice icon usage!
